Third Time is a Charm....I hope!

It's Science Fair time in Kindergarten...Yes you heard me right Kindergarten. So all of us mommies have been conversing over the past couple days about our kids projects that are due tomorrow.

Well I started a month and a half ago on sweet boys project. We planted tomato seeds and we put one in the shade and one in the sun. We were going to see which one did the best. Well let's just say that project flops b/c we couldn't remember to water it. Plants are not my best friends.

Project 2-started last Wednesday. Planted Bermuda seed in top soil and potting soil. Said it would take 2-5 days to grow. Well nothing and today was day 5. So what do you do when you are in this situation?

So we started PROJECT #3

We set up 2 tracks using some of our Thomas the Tank track and books. We put small skateboards, golf balls and thomas trains on the track to see which would be faster---the track that was higher or lower.

So we spent the afternoon (he was home sick) cut, sticking and handwriting our science fair project. All in All I think it turned out pretty good for our first one. Needless to say we won't be waiting until the last minute next year. Also we won't be using dirt or seeds next year either.

Oh Stephanie. I HATE Science fair projects. Because my kids end up doing very little of the work.

Sounds like you made the best of the situation though. Hope L feels better and hope you both get an A+.

So what was the verdict??

And just saying, but that's NUTS to have a 5 or 6 year old do a science project. I didn't start those until like 5th grade...
