Blahhhhh!

My husband asked me last night what was wrong...

I just haven't been able to get into the swing of things since the Christmas break is over. The house is a disaster. Laundry is not put up (I keep forgetting to buy more hangers). And I just don't want to go anywhere. I just want to stay here and not leave the house.

Am I depressed? No...Not that I know of.
It's cold outside but not as cold as those of you north and west of AR.
I just don't seem to be able to get enough sleep...that's kind of normal though.

Well I'm trying really hard today to get going....I've gotten a load of laundry done...not folded though. That's the next project. Dishwasher is unloaded. About to iron and pick up the living room and playroom. I probably need to vacuum too.

I have plenty of TIME to get everything done...just not the motivation. I'm trying!!!! My husband is so good to us and that should be motivation enough. He is starting his busy time of the year. The next four months are going to be very stressful for him so I should be able to do the little things I do around here.

So enough rambling on my part...if nothing else I have cooked dinner quite a bit the past several weeks!!!

What keeps you motivated around the house?

Hey! Feel your pain. I motivated myself recently by reading a lot of decorating/organizing blogs. I also bought some Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Geranium Counter Spray. It smells like roses. It is wonderful! I love to clean my kitchen when it smells so nice.

Stephanie...I hear ya. My energy comes in spurts, but I haven't had much since my burst last week.

When you figure this one out...let me know. I would just rather lay around and hang out with my family than clean. I know that keeping the house nice is a way of serving them, but I'd much rather BE WITH THEM than stuck in the laundry room or kitchen. Oh well. One day my house will be clean...one day.

Good luck.

I know exactly what you mean...I stay home, too. You would think that would be motivation enough...he works all day and should come home to a clean home. Oh yeah...I don't even have kids at home...but the grands come over and...well, there ya go...
My New Year's resolution...to do everything with resolve, industriousness and stick-to-itiveness.
Well, we really didn't answer your question, did we?

Hosting friends over for dinner always motivates me! Then once the house is in order I feel motivated to keep it that way because I feel and think better then. But all to often I'm faking my way to motivation.
